This page was started in June 2009 as part of my major OSC pages update. These pictures are only here due to the work of David Brew who scanned the ‘team photographs’ and Rob Miles who has just supplied me with all the other black and white images.  The colour pictures of the school playing fields were taken by me in Spring 2009.

Does anyone else have photographs of John Lyon boys, the school or school activities which I can add here, especially from 1968-1975?

The school photographs were taken by Panora Ltd of Clerkenwell, London.  According to The Greater Manchester County Record Office, the Panora negatives were deposited with the DPA (Documentary Photography Archive) in 1986 by the managing director of the firm who had sold his business but retained the negatives. They are dated from 29 September 1968 to 30 July 1985.  It seems very likely that Panora's copyright has probably lapsed.
