At the beginning of December 2006, Frank Potts and I and our WAGs, (wives and girlfriends, well, one of each anyway) spent five nights in the Czech Republic's city of Prague. We wanted a pre-Christmas break, and Frank and I wanted to explore the renowned puzzle shops of Prague. Frank and I found several puzzle shops, and between us we totally cleaned out the best one and left the others in tatters! The puzzle shop owners of Prague will have had a good Christmas!
Before I talk more about Prague and the puzzle shops, here are some pictures to whet your appetite. They are all taken on the same ledge, so sizes should be obvious. I include a pen in a couple of pictures, for comparison. The pink thing below some puzzles is a box that holds 12 music cassettes (remember them?). The 18-piece red and white burr is my current favourite.
